Primor Produce Ltd (as the importer) and Turners and Growers Fresh Ltd (as the distributor) are recalling all Prima and Sweet Value brand imported yellow flesh peaches (green fruit sticker with PLU numbers 4044 and 4038) sold between 10 July and 25 August 2020 due to the possible presence of Salmonella enteritidis.

Batch and Date marking All unbagged yellow flesh USA peaches purchased between 10 July and 25 August 2020 at selected fresh fruit & vegetable retailers, ethnic supermarkets, grocery stores and supermarkets.
Package size and description The product is sold loose (unbagged) in supermarkets and fresh fruit & vegetable retailers.  The affected fruit have a green fruit sticker with the PLU numbers 4044 or 4038.

 

This recall does not affect any other yellow flesh peaches with a different colour fruit sticker, or different PLU number. White flesh peaches are not affected by this recall.

Consumer advice

Affected product should not be consumed. There have been no confirmed reports of associated illness, however if you have consumed any of this product and have any concerns about your health, seek medical advice.

Customers should return the product to their retailer for a full refund. Stickers from some of the peaches may have fallen off during handling. If you are unsure please discard the product.
