Our produce

Fruit and vegetables not only taste great, they’re an important part of a healthy diet, providing essential vitamins, minerals and fibre. And as a grower and food exporter, we’re commited to producing safe, sustainable nutrition, and helping build thriving communities. Yet we know not everyone can access or afford nutritious food. That’s why we partner with others who share our vision to help address food insecurity and grow healthier futures together.

Safe food

Our customers and consumers around the world increasingly want to know where their food comes from and how it’s produced.

That’s great for us. Our T&G whānau is passionate about providing safe fruit and vegetables to our global consumers. At every step of the way, we work to the highest standards of food safety, quality and assurance, and we’re happy to explain the care and pride that goes into producing our delicious produce.

Responsible partnerships

Our partners are vitally important. That’s why we want to build strong, long-lasting, mutually beneficial partnerships. For us, this means we want our growers, customers, suppliers and partners to share our commitment to having a positive social, environmental and economic impact on people, society and our planet. So, together, we can create change.

Healthy communities

We’re passionate about the goodness that comes from fresh fruit and vegetables and improving the health of our local communities. We’ll do this by promoting nutrition and helping get fresh produce to people who need it the most.

Helping out hungry Kiwis

With many New Zealanders finding it difficult to provide healthy and nutritious food to their families, we donate surplus fresh fruit and vegetables from across our business to the New Zealand Food Network.

The New Zealand Food Network is a not-for-profit organisation, which collects and distributes quality surplus and donated food to food rescue organisations, iwi and charities across Aotearoa New Zealand. Over the last few years, together with some of our independent growers, we’ve donated over two million kilograms of fresh produce to the New Zealand Food Network, as well as provided them with use of our Hastings Market after hours to support their distribution activities.

Teaching kids about fresh food

We’re big supporters of New Zealand’s Garden to Table programme, teaching primary and intermediate aged kids the essential skills to grow, harvest, prepare and share fresh seasonal food. It’s incredible to see these children get out of the classroom, get their hands in the soil, and then cook their delicious school-grown produce!

Growing through fresh fruit

We’re proud to partner with 5+ A Day Charitable Trust to provide Kiwi kids with fresh fruit through the Ministry of Health’s Fruit in Schools programme.

Every school day, our T&G whānau provide over 260 low-decile schools – that’s over 64,000 kids – in Northland, Auckland, Hamilton, Gisborne, Hastings and Canterbury with delicious fresh fruit.
