T&G Global today announced that after nine years as Chairman, Prof. Klaus Josef Lutz will step down from the T&G Global Board at the end of its Annual Meeting on 23 June 2021.

Prof. Lutz joined the Board in April 2012 and under his leadership the Company has evolved into a strong global player in the premium fresh produce sector.

“T&G Global is an iconic New Zealand business, with a proud 124-year history. Over the years’ the business has undergone significant change, building strong foundations which have positioned it well for the future. With its clear strategy, T&G is focused on building premium brands in key markets around the world, and at the same time continuing to strengthen the New Zealand domestic fresh produce sector,”
says Prof. Lutz.

“It is therefore an ideal time for me to step down from the Board and for a new successor to be appointed to guide the Company into the future.”

The Board of Directors has appointed Benedikt Mangold as Chairman, effective from the conclusion of the Company’s Annual Meeting.

In addition, the Board is pleased to announce that Marcus Poellinger has been appointed to the Board of Directors.

Mr Poellinger has been a member of BayWa’s Board since November 2018 and is responsible for the company’s Agri Trade & Service, Building Materials, Digital Farming, Energy and Agricultural Equipment business units.
